Mark was raised and educated in Iowa, but always had the dream of living in the Colorado Rockies. He has been interested in outdoor activities all of his life and where can you better participate in those activities than Durango Colorado. The city of Durango and all of La Plata county are indicative of the best Colorado has to offer. Durango is a vibrant community, teeming with fine restaurants, multiple and varied cultural events and other city conveniences while maintaining the feeling of old western charm.

Our mountains are not just for skiing. We have river rafting and kayaking, road and mountain biking, hiking, fantastic fly fishing waters, mountain, rock and ice climbing, and lakes for boating, sailing and fishing all combined in four wonderful moderate seasons. The area also boasts fine golf courses and a very active tennis community.

Mark is very active in his community, being a member of the Chamber of Commerce, High Noon Rotary, serving on the board of directors of CREN (Colorado Real Estate Network which is the MLS system for all of SW Colorado), and is President-elect of the Durango Area Association of Realtors.
